About the Artist
Kimberly Vandenberg, located in British Columbia, Canada, is a visual artist and graphic designer who specializes in painting, graphic design, sculptures, and illustration. Kimberly grew up disconnected from her Indigenous heritage, but over the past five years she began to reclaim her heritage through art and design. Kimberly works for herself and does freelance and contract work for private and commercial clientele through her small business Kimberly Marie Studios. Her work ranges from contemporary Northwest coast formline, to the macabre, to painterly realism.

Kimberly successfully obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2021. During her studies, she grew a love for sharing her knowledge of painting with those willing to take the time to listen, while discovering how to get involved with contemporary social and human rights movements. See University paintings collections for works created during her studies between January 2015 and December 2019.

Kimberly and her husband got married in 2021, but they have been together since 2012. He has always been incredibly supportive of her work and passions. Together, they are expecting a child July 2023. Smokey and Midnight are their current fur kids; however family pets Ginger, Lucy, Rocko, and Sylvester have all crossed over the rainbow bridge and are dearly missed.
